The project involved the transformation of an unused TV room into a bar designed for entertaining friends and family. The client brief called for a deeply layered, curated interior—reminiscent of a moody traditional cigar lounge—reinterpreted with a fresher, more refined sensibility. Central to the intervention is a bespoke bar and shelving element designed to display the client’s extensive whisky collection.
Constructed from solid brass, walnut (a key material used throughout the house), Calacatta Viola marble, and aged mirror, the layered palette forms a rich backdrop for gathering. Additional layers of velvet and leather wall cladding soften the harder finishes, introducing warmth and tactility.
The timeless Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 table lamp provides soft, diffused illumination, with brass detailing forming a unifying material thread throughout the interior.

Phase two of the project extended the entertaining experience into the garden. Conceived in collaboration with architect Ana Corrochano and landscape designer Cara Smith, the outdoor area provides an additional setting for gathering, with furniture by Haldane Martin and Tribù creating an intimate space beneath the shade of the trees.
