This project converted an empty office shell into a functional ophthalmology practice with a clear emphasis on spatial logic and material clarity. The design strategy prioritised operational requirements and patient experience equally, deploying a restrained palette of timber, soft neutrals and seamless cementitious concrete floors.
Material decisions and detailing were driven by performance and legibility rather than ornamentation. Surfaces and junctions were resolved to balance durability and tactility, with lighting integrated into joinery and ceilings to support clinical tasks while avoiding visual clutter.
The result is a practice that feels considered and approachable — a place where precision and care sit comfortably alongside warmth and ease.
